Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the load given from a cooler to an engine by connecting a compressor with an expander of a Rankine cycle heat engine using a heat exchanger provided in an exhaust pipe of the engine for an evaporator for forming a refrigerating cycle. CONSTITUTION:Refrigerant is introduced into an evaporator 23 fixed in the exhaust pipe of an engine after being given pressure by a refrigerant pump 21, and evaporated by the exhaust gas of high temperature from the engine to generate vapor of high pressure. The vapor thereof is used to driven an expander 22, and changed into the vapor of low temperature and low pressure, which is introduced into a condenser 7, and cooled and liquefied by a fan 6, as forming a Rankine cycle. Meanwhile, a compressor 12 is operated by the rotation of the expander 22 to compress the refrigerant vapor in a refrigerating cycle. The vapor then joins into a refrigerant pipe of the Rankine cycle, and introduced into a condenser 17 to be cooled and liquefied. The liquefied refrigerant is turned off from the refrigerant pipe of the Rankine cycle at the exit of the condenser, and decompressed in a throttling device 8, thus bringing forth refrigeration in an evaporator 9 inside a room.
