Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain fluorescent film for colour TV set, that has improved current saturation characteristic and high luminance brightness, by laminating a green colour luminescent fluorescent layer of ZnS system and a Tb-activated, green colour luminescent fluorescent layer containing Tb in a relatively high concentration. CONSTITUTION:The green colour luminescent fluorescent layer 12 of ZnS system is formed on the inner surface of a face plate 11 of a cathode-ray tube for colour TV set, by using either one of ZnS/Cu, Al; ZnCdS/Cu, Al and ZnS/Au, Cu, Al. A Tb-activated fluorescent layer 13 is provided thereon (the electronic beam side), by using either Gd2O2S/Tb containing at least 0.8mol% of Tb or Y2O2S/Tb containing at least 1mole% of Tb, and an aluminium layer 14 is further formed thereon. The weight ratio of the fluorescent substance used to form the layer 13 to that used to build the layer 12 should be kept below 0.8.
