Abstract
PURPOSE:To make white luminance on a phosphor film not to indicate saturation to the stimulated current density, by making a Ce-activated polysulfide phosphor material to be contained into the phosphor film as a blue luminous component phosphor material. CONSTITUTION:The phosphor film of this color cathod ray tube is the Ce-activated polysulfide phosphor material represented by a formula I (0.8<=x<=1.4, 4X10<-4= y<=1X10<-4>) which is used as the blue luminous component phosphor material. And, at least, one of a ZnS: Cu, Al phosphor material and a (Zn,Cd)S:Cu,Al phosphor material is used as a green luminous component phosphor material. Also, more than one of a Y2O2S:Eu phosphor material, a Y2O3:Eu phosphor material and a YVO4:Eu phosphor material are used as a red luminous component phosphor material. And a Cu-activated amount and an Al-activated amount shall be 10<-6>- 10<-3>g per 1g of ZnS mother's body, and 5X10<-6>-10<-3>g per 1g of (Zn,Cd)S mother's body respectively, and the amount of CdS shall be less than 0.11mol per 1mol of (Zn,Cd)S. And an Eu-activated amount shall be usually 10<-2>-1.5X10<-1>g per 1g of the above each mother's body.
