Abstract
PURPOSE: To miniaturize a laver sheet manufacturing apparatus and improve the operating efficiency, by means of a water receiving box under reed screen feeding rollers and a washing means having a scatter preventing box above the rollers.
CONSTITUTION: A reed screen 13 fed from a laver sheet peeling machine is fed above transfer rollers 3 and advanced by a transfer roller 26A and a feed roller 34A. A remaining laver sheet piece attached to the under surface of the reed screen 13 is washed with water from a jet nozzle 41a in a water receiving box 28, and the top surface of the screen 13 is washed with a jet nozzle 41b in a cover 31. The reed screen 13 is then sent forward by rollers 34c and 26c while being supported by guides 42a and 42b. The water gathered in the water receiving box 28 is collected in a trough 29, filtered and reused. Brush rollers may be used as the washing means, and a washing apparatus separte from the screen feeder is not required.
