Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate manufacture and to make it possible to drive an acoustic- wave converging type transducer with simple mechanism, by arranging a high- molecular piezoelectric body consisting of fixed small sections while polarizing them alternately in the opposite directions. CONSTITUTION:Piezoelectric body 3 is made into high-molecular one, which is bored with concentric rings B0, A1, B1, A2, and B2 while rings B0, B1 and B2 should be driven in phase as to the polarizing direction and rings A1 and A2 be out of phase with the above-mentioned rings. Consequently, they are drive in phase as a transducer and eventually, they generate mutually out-of-phase acoustic waves, so that the acoustic waves can be focused on focal point (o).
