Abstract

PURPOSE: To measure a moisture content of a sample by using a moisture meter consisting of a rod of an insulating material, and excitation electrodes and a detecting coil which are provided on the circumferential surface of the rod.
CONSTITUTION: An alternating voltage is applied from an oscillator 1 to excitation electrodes 5 provided on the circumferential surface of a rod 7 of an insulating material. Variations in voltage or resonance frequency induced by a sample being measured into a detecting coil 6 are read on a high frequency voltmeter 2 or a frequency counter through lead wires 3. Thus, the moisture content of a sample can be determined.
