Abstract
PURPOSE: To measure the film thickness for such as powder, particles, liquid or semi-solid solution, by poviding the measuring surface detection element detecting the surface of film on the same plane as the film thickness detection part in contact with the measured surface of the detection head, in the contact type film thickness meter.
CONSTITUTION: The detection head 13 consists of the detection coil 16 detecting the film thickness, needle 17 producing eddy current, and measuring surface detection element 18 detecting the contact with the measured surface. Further, the tip of the needle 17, i.e., the eddy current production part tip 19 being the film thickness detection part, and the measuring surface detection element 18 are constituted on the same plane 20. As the measuring surface detection element 18, the element of which characteristics are changed when it contacts with powder, particles, liquid or semi-solid solution, is selected. The film thickness detection circuit 21 flowing high frequency current to the detection coil 1 and measuring the film thickness with the current change uses the principle of the change in the detection coil 16 in response to the change in the eddy current produced when the eddy current production tip 19 of the needle 17 closes to the measured surface.
