Abstract
PURPOSE:To direct a power-transmitting antenna beam to a ground reception point all the time by setting at right angles a polarized wave from the power transmitting antenna and that from the beam directivity control antenna of an antenna for the solar generation of electricity that converts solar energy into microwave electric power on a stationary track. CONSTITUTION:Electric-power transmitting antenna 5 consists of many power transmitting antenna units 6, which are composed of lateral slot antenna 7 and all excited in phase. On the other hand, four longitudinally cut slot antennas 8, provided in the center of unit 6, receives a pilot signal from the ground and a phase conjugating circuit is combined to constitute beam-directivity control antenna 9 for the directivity control of power-transmitting beams from the whole power-transmitting antenna 5. Since the above-mentioned antenna 7 for electric power transmission and antenna 8 for beam directivity control are facing at right angles, the power-transmitting beams can be directed to the ground reception point all the time.
