Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure an assured radio communication at the area where the field level falls down suddenly by the space standing wave by securing the sequential change of the radiation pattern of the antenna at the calling side and under transmission of the calling signals. CONSTITUTION:In case the calling signal is transmitted for calling slave unit 2 by master unit 1, wave guide element 3a and 3b of antenna 3 of unit 1 are turned mechanically to vary in sequence the radiation pattern of antenna 3, i.e., the directivity. A change shown in the figure, for example, is given to the field intensity at the position of unit 2 where the space standing wave can be generated via reflector 5 and 6. But the calling signal can be received from unit 1 regardless of the position of unit 2 by the change of the radiation pattern of the transmission antenna. Unit 2 gives the replay which is then detected by unit 1 to stop the change of the radiation pattern of the antenna. Thus, the steady communication is ensured thereafter.
