Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a picture quality having a uniformity of contrast and brightness despite an intensity of light, by enveloping the surroundings of fluorescent luminous bodies with a material that changes its permeability of light according to the intensity of light. CONSTITUTION:On each of the surroundings of fluorescent material layers 3g, 3b, 3r, photochromic layers 2 are coated. When the emission of light of the fluorescent material layers 3g, 3b, 3r and outdoor daylight are intensified, the permeability of light of the photochromic layer 2 decreases to lower the reflection factor of a fluorescent screen. While the emission of light of the fluorescent material layers 3g, 3b, 3r and outdoor daylight are weakened, the reverse phenomenon to the above is caused. Accordingly, the change of a picture quality that widely changes according to the change of a condition for the picture to be seen can be decreased.
