Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the coloring at a white color part, by carrying out the cutoff control, etc. for a color picture receiver having a colored body at a display under the illuminating conditions of about >=60 mean coloring evaluation value and about >=1.0ft-L luminance of the display. CONSTITUTION:For a color picture receiver 1, the light absorbing properties is provided at the valley wavelength region of each light emission spectrum of three color fluorescent elements in order to prevent the reduction of luminance and at the same time to increase the contrast. Such receiver 1 has a colored body at the display part, and accordingly the white color part is always colored in the body color by the external reflected light when in use if the control is carried out to both the cutoff and the white balance in a dark place. When these controls are carried out under the external illuminating conditions with comparatively high coloring performance and with >=1ft-L luminance of the tube surfaces, the optimum control is possible and the video grade is improved.
