Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce the index pulse having no change of the phase, by forming the threshold voltage which varies in proportion to the amplitude of the index signal. CONSTITUTION:The index signal detected by the photodetector 21 is divided through the BPF22 into the index signals having the opposite phase to each other. These two signals are supplied to the waveform shaping circuit 50 consisting of the amplitude detector 60, the sample holding circuit 70 and the level comparator 90 each. Then the both signals undergo a full-wave detection through the detector 60, and this detection signal receives the sample holding at the sample holding circuit 70. The sample holding voltage varies in proportion to the change of the amplitude of the index signal. Thus this voltage is used for the threshold voltage of the comparator 90 to receive a level comparison with the index signal. In such way, the index pulse with no change of the phase can be obtained although the amplitude of the index signal may vary.
