Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce a hot water by utilizing some roof tiles heated by solar heat to save an energy by a method wherein the roof tile is made such that water inlet ports are formed at the upper end of the tile and water outlet ports are formed at the lower end of the tile, these ports are connected with each other in the tile itself.
CONSTITUTION: Water inlet ports 3, for example 4 ports, are made at the upper end 2 of the top surface of the roof tile 1 and similarly 4 outlet ports 5 are made at the lower end 4 of the rear surface of the roof tile, these water inlet ports 3 and the outlet ports 5 are communicated with each other by some water passages 6 extending in the tiles 1. When the tiles 1 are to be installed, the water outlet ports 5 of the upper roof tile 1a are aligned with the water inlet ports 3 of the lower roof tile 1b and then a number of roof tiles 1 are laid. Water from the water supply pipe 10 is distributed to each of the water inlet ports 3 in the upper most roof tile 1, hot water discharged from each of the water outlet ports 5 in the lowermost roof tile 1 is collected into a water collection pipe 13 and the collected hot water is stored in a heat accumulation tank 14.
