Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce freezing load, miniaturize a device and cut down running cost by using the device which can easily freeze and melt concentrated sludge with high concentration obtained by concentrating sludge with low concentration.
CONSTITUTION: A device is formed by a centrifugal decanter 1 for concentrating sludge S1 with low concentration to a degree which the sludge can be granulated and molded, a granulator 2 for granulating concentrated sludge S2, a fluid layer type freezing device 3 for freezing granulated sludge S3, a cool-keeping tank 4 for cool-keeping frozen sludge S4 for a fixed time, a melting tank 5 for melting frozen sludge S4 and a hydroextractor 6. The said fluid layer type freezing device 3 consists of a freezing chamber 32 and a freezing device 9. The freezing device is formed by cross fin coils 34 and blowers 35 and main compressors 10, a main condenser 11, a compressor 12 at the high stage side and a condenser 13 at the high stage side.
