CONSTITUTION:The thickness and breadth of the plate spring blank (a) are detected by the detectors 24, 25. Hereby, the signal processor 26 selects the suitable one from the breadth assortment patterns attained by combining various thickness and breadth of the blank (a) being previously set relating to the rolling data for the plate spring. Then, the control signal, corresponding to the tracting force of the blank (a) and the breadth assortment pattern, is sent from the detector 7 to the counters 17, 17. Hereby, the rolls 11, 11 of the breadth assorting mechanisms 10, 10 apply the breadth assorting work, corresponding to the rolling data for the thickness and breadth of every piece of the plate spring blank (a), to the blank (a) according to the signal of the controllers 16, 16; thus the intermediate blank of the most suitable shape is formed.
