Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it sufficient if a smoothing circuit is provided in only one system to make it possible to constitute the circuit with a small size simply, by comparing signals of plural channels after full-wave rectification and by smoothing the larger signal. CONSTITUTION:Audio signals of L and R channels input from input terminals 1a and 1b are divided into n number frequency bands by filters 3a and 3b having frequency characteristics of center frequencies f1-fn and are supplied to full-wave rectifying circuits 4a and 4b respectively. Signals which were subjected to full-wave rectification are compared for every frequency by comparing circuit 5, and one of the larger level is taken out and is smoothed by smoothing circuit 6 and is supplied to multiplexer 7. The signal supplied to multiplexer 7 is subjected to time division successively in series and is subjected to logarithmic compression by logarithmic amplifier 8 and is supplied to level base driving circuit 9, and frequency distribution of the input audio signal is displayed in display unit 10.
