Abstract
PURPOSE:To make a pulse response characteristic and S/N ptoimum, by providing the first comparator having the monostable function together with a time constant circuit and the second comparator which generates the output pulse train for FM detection. CONSTITUTION:The first comparator consisting of transistors (TR) TR1 and TR2 connected differentially, current source I1, and resistance R2 cooperates with the time constant circuit consisting of capacitor C1 and resistance R2 to perform the monostable operation. The second comparator consisting of another TR3 and TR4 connected differentially, current source I2, and resistances R7 and R8 generates a pulse train output. It is possible to design current sources I1 and I2 independently by providing the comparator for monostable function and the comparator to generate the pulse train for FM detection separately in this manner, so that the current value required for the monostable operation can be made optimum and the current value can be set to an optimum value to obtain the characteristic required for the output for FM detection.
