PURPOSE:To prevent a generation of zigzag layers on a screen in the method of zone exposure, by arranging a shade, having a rectangular opening part in the direction of a horizontal deflection axis and auxiliary plates at the longer sides of the opening part, in a passage of light emitted from a light source to the inner surface of a panel. CONSTITUTION:To a panel 21 in which a shadow mask 22 is provided, light from a linear light source 23 swivellable in the direction of an arrow mark according to an exposure position of the panel is irradiated through a correcting lens 24, correcting fiter 25 to control a distribution of quantity of the light and a shade 30. In the shade 30 a rectangular opening port 31 with its longer sides in the direction of a horizontal deflection axis X is drilled, further to its surroundings fan-shaped auxiliary plates 33 are mounted.
