Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve theoretical air-fuel ratio faster in the transition period of an engine operation by making the cycle of an air-fuel ratio control more frequent on the basis of signals from an O2 sensor and throttle sensor in an exhaust system.
CONSTITUTION: Each signal of an O2 sensor 19 and throttle sensor 20 is transmitted to a control circuit 21 so as to control solenoid valves 14, 15 which act to vary carburetter air breed. The signal of an O2 sensor 19 is transmitted through an amplifying circuit 22, comparator circuit 31, integration circuit 25 and a center valve detection circuit 26 and its center valve is input to an addition circuit 28. The signal of the throttle sensor 20 is input to a superposition circuit 30 via an acceleration or deceleration detection circuit 27 and cycle modulation circuit 29 to send information on the state of acceleration or deceleration to the superpositin circuit 30, whereby operating the state in a transition period. The so-obtained signal is compared with a reference signal from a triangle wave producing circuit 32, and transmitted into the control circuit 21. Such a transition state is alway predicted beforehand by the control circuit 21.
