Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate cross color interference, by selecting the frequency characteristic of a charge transfer element filter as gain 1 for the stopping band and as gain 0.5 for the passage band and by obtaining an overall color frequency characteristic in the floating diffusion layer through another charge transfer element filter. CONSTITUTION:The frequency characteristic of charge transfer element filter 55 is selected to be the HPF characteristic of the cut-off frequency, and the frequency characteristic of charge transfer element filter 56 is selected as gain 1 for the stopping band and as gain 0.5 for the passage band, and thus, the frequency response of the overall luminance channel shows gain 1 in the passage band of filter 55 and the comb line characteristic in the passage band of filter 56. Meanwhile, the composite color TV signal is led to floating diffusion layer 54 through delay line 52 after sampled discretely by charge transfer element filter 57, and the frequency response of the overall color channel shows the comb line characteristic only in the passage band of filter 55. As a result, degradation of vertical resolution of luminance components can be corrected to eliminate cross color interference dependent upon low- band components of luminance components.
