Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the magnetic recording medium excellent in the magnetic characteristics continuously with high efficiency, by providing a plurality of guides in which the angle between the coating surface of substrate and the vapor flow is constant, in the evaporation angle of evaportion source of ferromagnetic material and by running the substrate.
CONSTITUTION: The running guides 5,5' are located at the intersecting point between the two concentric circles drawn from the center of evaporation surface of evaporation material and the radiation lines equally divided by evaporation angle α, and the substrate 3 is run continuouslly in V-shape. In this case, each straight line surface formed between the running guides 5,5' forms the coated effective sectioning straight line surface 32 and the constitution is made that the angle between the normal at the center of each straight line surface and the vapor flow is always equal and the distance from the center of evaportion surface to the center of each straight line surface and the surface length of each straight line surface are respectively equal. Thus, the injecting angle to the substrate 3 is always constant and the loss in the vapor flow is less to obtain high vapor deposition efficiency. Further, the caracteristics variance of the coated thin film can be reduced.
