Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a metal die improved in the maintainability of the cooling system (such as cleaning of the system) with a highly efficient cooling by letting a cooling medium flow into a space closed by the metal die body and an inserting piece provided into a cavity. CONSTITUTION:Inserting pieces 8, 9 and 20 are bolted on the metal die body 1A in such a manner as to be removable easily. The inserting piece 20 having a cavity section 3C is shaped into a convex shape with thickness 18 and 19. The part of the metal die body 1A facing the inserting piece 20 is shaped into a concave shape while a support 13 is provided on a projected section to support the inserting piece 20 at the center. A cooling water flows into a space formed by the inserted piece 20 and the metal die body 1A to cool the inserted piece 20. A packing 15 is interposed to prevent the cooling water from leaking out of the metal die.
