Abstract
PURPOSE: The antipolution structure, enabled to maintain a safe and long antipollution effect, obtained by providing coppor group metals on the surface of underwater structure.
CONSTITUTION: The antipollution layer 3 made of pure copper or copper alloy composed of nickel, aluminum, zinc, tin etc., containing ≥80% copper, is provided on the surface of the underwater structure composed of metal having a higher electric potential than copper, such as chromium steel, stainless steel and plastics, such as vinyl chloride, polyethylene, polyamide and also, nonmetal, such as concrete, glass, after suitably roughening its surface, if necessary. When the structure 1 is made of the metal 1 having a lower electric potential than copper, the electric insulating layer 2 made of tar expoxy, polyester, etc., are provided on the metal 1 and the layer 3 made of pure copper or copper group metals, is provided on the layer 2.
