Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect easily the overs or shorts of supplied electric current and the disconnection of cables, by connecting the electric current paths of plural circuits for supplying electric power, which are combined in such a direction that their electric current values are cancelled each other, to magnetic circuits, and by providing windings which detect the unbalance between the electric currents passing through the electric current paths.
CONSTITUTION: Electric current paths 6A, 6B which apply electric current to welding machines arranged in parallel are placed in such a direction that the electric currents i1, i2 are directed in opposite direction, and are inserted to magnetic cores 16. Hereby, when the electric current of one of the paths 6A, 6B becomes overs or shorts, an magnetic flux is generated in the magnetic core 16 according to the difference. The magnetic flux generates electric current through a detecting coil 17. The output end of the detecting coil 17 is connected through a change-over switch 18 and a corrugated shaping circuit 21 respectively to an A/D converter 12 and an indicating circuit 19 thereby making it possible to confirm the abnormality such as overs or shortages of electric current, or disconnection of cables.
