Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent a chain from curving in one direction and being buckled and dispense with guides, by slightly bending the upper portions of chain links, engaging the bent portions of the inner and the outer links with each other and improving coupling holes.
CONSTITUTION: A chain comprises inner and outer plate links 30, 40. The upper portions of the links are bent at 32, 41. The bent portions are engaged with each other to prevent the chain from curving in one direction. Oblique holes 42 with centers 43, 44 are provided in each outer link 40 so that the cross sections of the oblique holes extend approximately perpendicularly to each other. Since the oblique holes are provided, the chain is not buckled but kept straight when tensile or compressive stress acts to the chain. Therefore, an article can be accurately pushed and pulled by the chain.
