Abstract
PURPOSE: To contrive the reduction of the heat loss in the controlling device for the electric motor vehicle by weakening the field of a main motor at the time of switching contactors for shorting resistors of the main motor to thus accelerate to certain degree the motor while retaining the series connection of the motor group and then transferring the series connection of the motor group to a parallel connection, thereby relatively shortening the current flowing time of the main resistors.
CONSTITUTION: Resistor shortcircuiting control is conducted in the series connection of motor group as the conventional way to become S9-notch state that all starting resistors are shortcircuited upon closure of the contactors for shoring the resistors. When the electric motor vehicle is further accelerated, field-weakening contactors W11WW12 and W11aWW12a are sequentially closed while the main motor group is retained in the series connection. When the motor acceleration control in continued in accordance with the characteristics of SWF1, SWF2 to accelerate the vehicle in SWF2 notch and armature currents are thus reduced to cause a current limiting relay CL to further produce a notch advance command, a transition from series to parallel connection occurs for the motor group. Resultantly, the vehicle can be controlled with the reduction of heat loss.
