Abstract

PURPOSE:To make treatment quick and perfect, by enabling the rotation and vertical movement of an end face treating head and an inside surface treating head. CONSTITUTION:A rotary shaft 37a is provided in the body 26 of a device 10 for treatment before and after a penetrant test so that the shaft can be moved up and down. An inside surface treating head 46 is secured on the top of the shaft. An end face treating head 39 is fitted on the lower part of the rotary shaft so that the head only be moved relatively to the shaft in the axial direction. A spring 45 for elevation is provided between the body 26 of the device and the end face treating head 39. When a motor 27 for moving up and down is started, the rotary shaft 37a is moved up and down together with a vertically moving block 33. The rotary shaft and the end face treating head 39 are rotated by a motor 52 for rotation. An end face cleaning brush 40 is rotated to clean up the end face of a thin pipe 5 while the brush is thrusted on the end face by spring 45 for elevation. An end face cleaning brush 47 is rotated and moved up and down to clean up the inside surface of the thin pipe after the brush is moved outward in the radial direction by centrifugal force.
