Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve efficiency of combustion of a combusting apparatus in which fuel mixed with primary air is combusted at a burner head, by separating air flow into primary-air flow and secondary-air flow at the inlet to the burner head, and ejecting secondary air from the central portion of the burner head.
CONSTITUTION: In starting combustion, a vaporizing sleeve 20 is heated by passing current to a sheathed heater 21. Then, a motor 4 is set into operation for turning a turbo fan 8, rotor 13 and agitating blades 17, so that combusting air is drawn through an inlet port 6, communicating port 7 and wind producing chamber 10, and after passing through a flow dividing chamber 38, air flow is divided into two flows at an air inlet section 12. One of the two air flows is introduced as primary air into a carburetor 22 as shown by arrows A in the drawing, whereas the other is carried as secondary air to a secondary-air outlet port 28 formed at the center of a flow straightening plate 24 of burner head 23 as shown by arrows A'. Subsequently, when liquid fuel is supplied via a pipe 39 onto the tapered surface of rotor plate 13, fuel is scattered and atomized into fine particles. Liquid fuel thus atomized is combusted after it is vaporized in vaporizing sleeve 20.
