Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the overslewing of a swirl carriage by driving the slewing gear of the slew carriage in the traverse pushing direction of bricks. CONSTITUTION:When the bricks 12 delivered from an expansible converter 3 are fed to the tip of a slewing roller table 8, a traverse pushing cylinder 10 operates to push the bricks 12 by means of the traverse pushing metal member 13 until the bricks 12 come into contact with the upper part of the side end of the existing brick 12. Then, the slewing cylinder 15 contracts to slew the table 8 in the direction of stacking bricks, whereby the bricks 12 is lowered to between the existing brick 12 and an epron 14 of the table 8. Then, the slewing cylinder 15 expands to slew the table 8 backwards and thereby the slew carriage 2 is turned in the progress direction by as much as one brick 12 while pushing the bricks 12 on the adjacent existing brick 12 laterally by the epron 14. At this time, overswirling can be prevented by operating the slewing gear A.
