Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:The titled cyclic phosphate expressed by formula I (R is 2W4C acyl; X is H, alkali metal or ammonium).
EXAMPLE: Sodium salt of 2-fluoro-N6,O2'-dibutyryl-adenosine-3',5'-cyclic phosphate.
USE: A carcinostatic agent with low toxicity and little side effects, and usable by intravenous injection, oral administration or application to mucous membranes in a dose of 10W60mg/kg/day for an adult.
PROCESS: 2-Fluoro-adenosine-3',5'-cyclic phosphate (salt) of formula II is reacted with an acid anhydride of formula III, e.g. butyric anhydride, preferably at 50W 70°C, to give a 2-fluoro-O2'-monoacyl-adenosine-3',5'-cyclic phosphate (salt) of formula IV, which is then reacted with a carboxylic acid of the formula ROH, e.g. butyric acid, and the acid anhydride of formula III in the presence of an inorganic acid, e.g. sulfuric acid, preferably at 90W110°C for 5W30min.
