Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent an air spraying portion from clogging and reduction of air spraying efficiency during long-term operation by a method wherein a water chamber and an air chamber of an apparatus are covered by a rotary air spraying chamber to form a mechanism for closing a water chamber and an air chamber during a stopping stage.
CONSTITUTION: When water is sent into a water chamber 1 within a treating water tank, said water pushes a rotary air spraying portion B upwards by the pressure thereof and is injected from a gap of a rotary portion 11 and a rectifying guide 4 to a direction of a vane wheel 12. The air within the air chamber 2 is sucked by this water stream and injected to a direction of the vane wheel 12. Thereby, the rotary air spraying portion B is rapidly rotated and a mixture of water and air is sprayed into the water within an aeration tank. When operation is stopped, the rotary air spraying portion B is lowered and a check valve 5 is also returned to an original position to hermetically close a slit between a leading end of the rectifying guide 4 and an external wall of a main body. Therefore, solid materials such as activated sludge or the like contained in water do not invade into the air chamber.
