Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Malodorant gas is brought into contact with a mixed catalyst contg. at least zinc oxide, manganese oxide, or allophane at a temperature 200W 500°C. Preferably, the avobe catalyst is to be prepared by mixing and sintering metallic oxide consisting essentially of zinc oxide or manganese oxide with allophane. Preferable allophane is Kanuma earth. Said mixture should include 20wt% or more of metallic oxide and 80wt% or less of Kanuma earth. This catalyst costs less, has a long service life and an excellent deodorizing effect at low temperatures.
