Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform efficient gas purification and decomposition of organic S by a method wherein hydrocarbon oil and organic S-contg. gas are brought into contact each other, the hydrocarbon oil in which organic S is transferred is regenerated by the air, etc., and organic S-contg. air is supplied to NH3-contg. waste water, which is subjected to wet-oxidation process under a special condition.
CONSTITUTION: Gas 1 containing organic S such as CS2 and thiophene is brought into contact with hydrocarbon oil 2 in an absorption tower A so that organic S is removed by absorption. The hydrocarbon oil 4 containing organic S exchanges heat 5 and is heated 7, then is supplied to a regeneration tower B, where it is brought into contact with gas 9 such as air and regenerated into the hydrocarbon oil 10 and is recirculated to the absorption tower A. Meanwhile, organic S-contg. gas 26 is mixed with O2-contg. gas 21 and is compressed 22 and humidified 24, then is guided into a reaction tower 20. NH3-contg. waste water 13 is pressurized 15, exchanges heat 17, is supplied to the tower 20, and undergoes wet-oxidation in the presence of catalyst such as Fe and Co compds. at pH of about 8W11.5, while the above organic S-contg. gas is supplied. The waste water 30 is then subjected to gas- liquid separation 31, passes through humidifier 24, is cooled 34, and is subjected to a reverse osmosis 36.
