Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently collect mist of small particle size not colliding against the wall of passage by installing a buffle plate at the center of a crooked gas passage formed by bent plates or corrugated plates.
CONSTITUTION: Numbers of corrugated plate 3 are spacedly overlaid to form a zigzag gas passage 4. At the center of the downstream side of the passage 4, buffle plates 6 are installed. The buffle plates 6 are mounted to guide plates 8 having blow holes 7. The flat surface of the guide plate is slightly tilted to the direction of gas stream. Coarse mist in gas collides and deposits on the surface of the corrugated plates 3 and is removed. Minor portion of the mist is carried by the gas and gathers to the centeral area of the passage 4 at the upstream part of the passage 4, and is carried by the gas to the downstream. At the downstream, the minor portion of the mist is carried by the gas collides with the buffle plate 6 or the guide plates 8 and deposits on it. The gas freed from mist passes through the blow holes and goes toward downstream.
