Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform selection and release of a tool rapidly, by controlling all tool posts with one feeding screw and at the same time making each tool post capable of selecting and releasing the tool at an arbitrary position with a connecting method which corresponds to each tool.
CONSTITUTION: Tool posts are respectively provided with connecting devices 12W 16, and the connecting devices 12, 14, and 15 are mounted on a first feeding slide 17, and the connecting devices 13 and 16 on the second feed slide 18. These slides 17 and 18 engage through nuts 171 and 181 reverse thread sections 201 and 212 provided on a feed screw 20 driven by a servo motor 21. Further, a feed levers 4, 5 and so on which correspond to individual tool posts are engaged and connected to pins 36 and 37 provided on a rocking lever.
