Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the removal of a real echo even if a received signal from a target has time jitter, by providing a pulse width increasing unit which augments a pulse width for a gate signal for removing an interfering signal. CONSTITUTION:A normal video signal is quantized by a comparator 503. The quantized signal is conducted through a pulse width increasing unit 504 and then clock-synchronized by shift registers 505-507 and thereafter delayed by a system clock interval. The signal, whose pulse width is thus increased, is delayed by a time corresponding to a transmitted pulse interval, by an interfering signal detection circuit 509 and sweep memories 510, 511. After that, three signals which are the input and output of the sweep memory 510 and the output of the other sweep memory 511 are applied to a gate signal generation circuit 512 to produce a gate signal for removing an interfering signal. The circuit 512 generates the gate signal so that a normal video signal or the like not removed of a real echo is picked out through video gate circuits 513, 514.
