Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate assembly and repair by a method wherein one hammer and one trigger means for making the hammer fly are arranged for a type wheel having printing types of plural columns, thereby the number of parts being reduced and a printer being made to be small and light in weight.
CONSTITUTION: The type wheel 12 having printing types of plural columns is rotated by a motor 33, an attraction plate 29 is attracted by electrifying an electromagnet 30 with a trigger signal, a trigger lever 23 fitted to one end of a trigger transmitting member 25 is driven through the intermediary of a trigger-lever actuating plate 25, and thus the tip part of the lever 23 is inserted into the rotational locus of a ratchet 22. The ratch of the ratchet 22 taps at the tip part of the trigger lever 23, thereby the hammer 18 being made to fly to the surface of the type for printing. A rope 43 fitted to one end of a carriage 17 is wound up by the pulley part 421 of a column-carrying gear 42, thus the hammer 18 and the trigger transmitting member 24 being carried by one column together along axes 19 and 27.
