Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent dew-drops from dropping from the heat exchanger during its operation and drawn into a fan, by not forming any slits in the region of a fin of heat exchanger located near a cut line.
CONSTITUTION: The slits 11 are formed in the fin of the heat exchanger 10. Two such heat exchangers are manufactured at a time, in the manner that cut line 12 of the fin is symmetrical on the opposite sides of its center point, and then it is cut at connecting portions 13. Here, arrangement is such that any slits are not formed in the region near the cut line 12. Since dew-drops 14 formed on the surface of heat exchanger 10 flow in the direction shown by arrows in the drawing and drop into a dew receptacle (not shown), it is prevented that they drop onto the fan. Further, in accordance with the above method utilizing the cut line 12, two heat exchangers can be manufactured at a time, so that productivity of the heat exchangers is improved, and at the same time, material required for manufacturing the same can be saved.
