Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform the positioning operation through the rapid operation for adjusting a die- tightening force by a method wherein the set value of a die-tightening force setting apparatus is transformed into the set value for the rotational position of a potentiometer and stored and the value for the rotational position when the die tightening is adjusted is compared with the above set value of the rotational position. CONSTITUTION:A potentiometer 12 which is connected with the gear device 9b of a die-tightening housing 9 and whose output voltage is changed in accordance with the move of the housing 9, a die-tightening force setting apparatus 21 for setting a desired die-tightening force, and a controlling device 13 giving an electric signal to and receiving the same from the above two are provided. In the device 13, the set value of the setting apparatus 21 is transformed into the set value of the rotation of the potentiometer and stored. Furthermore, in the device 13, the value of rotational position of the potentiometer is computed based on the value of the output voltage of the potentiometer when the die-tightening adjustment is started and on the output voltage at the time when the die-tightening is being adjusted. Then, the above set value of the rotational position being compared with the value of the rotational position, the die-tightening housing 9 is stopped when the compared values are in accord.
