Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate secrecy maintenance, statistical processing, etc., by constituting a disk memory unit so that display information on the titles, etc., are coded and recorded in unrecorded areas and then read optically as a disk rotates. CONSTITUTION:To disk 11, a circular label centering on center 14 of revolution is stuck to form unrecorded area 13. In this unrecorded area 13, display information on a number for the purpose of the management, etc., of disk 11 and other symbols are entered being coded into bar codes 15 or color codes 16. The bar codes 15 and color codes 16 are optically read by the optical reader fitted to the memory driver as disk 11 rotates to judge the memory contents of recording area 12. This constitution provides the optical read of the code information and the mechanical judgement of the memory contents, so that secrecy maintenance, statiscal processing, etc., can be facilitated.
