Abstract

PURPOSE: To hold excellent a single-to-noise ratio at each tape speed by providing low-pass filters and by setting a high cut-off frequency by selecting them in accordance with tape speeds.
CONSTITUTION: A reproduced aural signal is led to low-pass filter LPF2. This LPF2 consists of coil L connected across it, capacitor C1 connected in parallel to coil L, C2 connected between the output terminal and earth, and capacitor C3 connected in parallel to C2 through switch 3. At the normal tape speed, capacitors C2 and C3 are connected in parallel through switch 3 to decrease the high cut-off frequency of the reproduction system, cutting off only noise components in terms of high frequency range. At the high speed, switch 3 is placed as shown in the Fig. to set the high cut-off frequency of the reproduction system high, so that aural signals of high frequency range can be utilized effectively. The constitution like this can hold an excellent signal-to-noise ratio at each tape speed.
