Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration in the S/N of a carrier chrominance signal, by picking up the carrier chrominance signal through a comb type filter and a BPF at reproduction. CONSTITUTION:A carrier chrominance signal Ss is frequency-converted into a carrier chrominance signal Sc in the original carrier frequency at a frequency converter 23. This signal Sc is applied to a comb type filter 12 and crosstalk component between tracks is rejected and unnecessary signal components are rejected at a BPF21, successively. Since the signal Sc after rejection is applied to an addition circuit 36 via a color killer circuit 28, a color video signal is picked up from a terminal 37. Thus, since the carrier chrominance signal Sc is picked up via the filter 12 and the BPF21 at reproduction, the noise component outside the carrier chrominance signal band is all rejected. Thus, the deterioration in the S/N of the carrier chrominance signal can be avoided.
