Abstract

PURPOSE:To exactly fire an SCR without losing voltage raising effect of a step-up circuit by adding a resonance circuit for preventing misfire of the SCR. CONSTITUTION:A voltage VH is applied to a capacitor 3 through a coil 1 and a diode 2 of a step-up circuit to charge the capacitor 3, and stored charge is flowed to the laser diode upon opening and closing of the SCR 5 to drive it. The voltage VH is raised through the coil 1 and the diode 2 by utilizing the voltage variation abruptly upon opening and closing operation to produce vibration in the resonance circuit 13. In this manner, the anode voltage waveform of the SCR 5 is superimposed with vibration, and positive voltage is not applied during the time while being determined by the capacitor 3, the coil 1 and the resonance circuit 13. When the constant of the resonance circuit 13 is regulated to set the time at longer than 40sec., it can completely prevent the misfire of the high speed SCR 5. When the attenuating resistor 12 is further increased, the maximum peak applied thereto is lowered so as to enable use of low withstand voltage part components.
