Abstract

PURPOSE:To accomplish quick identification of damaged parts of the coat by bringing a specified test liquid into contact with the coated surface of aluminum material. CONSTITUTION:0.05-1.0g of cupric sulfate is dissolved thoroughly in the solution with 0.01-1.0g of fluoric acid added per 100ml of water to form a test liquid. When the test liquid is brought into contact with the coated film on the surface of aluminum material or aluminum alloy material, copper is separated quickly at the damaged parts of the coated film even through it is at the normal temperature. Thereby, the damaged parts of the coated film is colored brown. Said procedure enables easy and quick identification of the position and the shape of the damaged parts.
