Abstract

PURPOSE: A multicolored coating film that is formed by effecting electrodeposition of a coating containing dyes on the whity metal surface, thus causing almost to sagging and irregularity without proficient technique with easy color matching.
CONSTITUTION: For example, (A) an acrylic anion-type electrodeposition coating (nonvolatile content, 9.6%) (1 liter) is combined with (B) a yellow dye (0.4g.) and (C) a red acidic dye (0.3g.) and they are dissolved. Using the resultant coating, electrodeposition is effected to (D) the anode of copper plate coated with gloss nickel films at D.C. 80volt for 3min. Further, the coated film is baked at 180°C for 20min to give the objective coated plate.
EFFECT: Since it has high corrosion resistance, it makes it possible to form a golden coating film with hair lines. Further, it shows high throwing power, so gap or the like also can be coated.
