Abstract

PURPOSE: To collect coarse granules of coal, to pulverizing them, to gather finly divided particles again, and to prevent the seizing of pump and the clogging of burner by chips, by feeding mixed fuel of coal particle and petroleum to a pulverizer for coal particles consisting of a screen and a grinding part in specific constitution.
CONSTITUTION: Mixed fuel of coal particles and petroleum is fed from the feed opening 5 to the pulverizer 3, passed through the screen 7, discharged from the outlet opening 6, and sent to a pressurizing pump. Coal particles having larger diameters than a set diameter are collected by the screen 7, and dropped to a grinding part consisting of the mantle 9 and the concave ring 10. The coal particles are ground and pulverized in a gap between the rotating mantle 9 and the concave ring 10, discharged from the bottom outlet opening 6a and combined with the fuel which has passed through the screen 7 outside the pulverizer 3. The gap is regulated arbitrarily by adjusting the pressure of the accumulator 12.
