Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively obtain the reinforcement for skirt parts of a piston, by hangably forming left and right skirt parts from both end parts of the head portion of the piston with an ovally shaped top face or the like and linking said skirt parts with linking outer walls located inner from lower extension lines at both sides of the piston head portion. CONSTITUTION:A head portion H of a piston P is formed into a symmetrical circular arc at its both end faces 1, and its both sides 2 are smoothly connected to the both end faces 1 to form its top plane into an oval pattern. From the both end faces 1 of said head portion H, left and right skirt parts S formed by circular arc faces with the same radius as said circular arc are hangably provided. Then the insides of these skirt parts S with a face-to-face relation to each other are integrally connected by linking outer walls 5 integrally formed hangably from the head portion H at inner sides from lower extension lines of the both sides 2 of the head portion H, thus to perform a reinforcement for the left and right skirt parts S.
