Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a material for granular food as a matter for furikake (granular subsidiary articles of diet) having flavor and taste of a nut of its own, by roasting the nut in oil or in gas, followed by making it into pieces or granules, seasoning and drying.
CONSTITUTION: Before making the whole or half nut into pieces or granules, the nut is roasted in oil or gas, and made into pieces or granules. After classified into proper size, the nut is seasoned and dried. The size of the nut has preferably such uniformity that it passes through a 8-mesh screen but does not a 10-mesh screen. The roast is carried out preferably at 130W200°C either in oil or gas.
