Abstract

PURPOSE: To feed papers positively with no feeding failure by a method wherein a feeding rest is verticaly moved, a frictional force between the feeding rest and the lowest paper is reduced by utilizing an inertia force caused with this vertical movement, and the lowest paper is fed in such a condition.
CONSTITUTION: When a eccentric cam 7 is rotated in such a state that the largest portion 7a of the eccentric cam 7 is in contact with a cam follower and thus the feeding rest 1 is inclined downward, the feeding rest 1 is quickly swung downward around a pin 6. And at this time, there is produced a gap S between stacked papers 14 and the feeding rest 1 because the papers 14 tend to be held at their original position by an inertia force of the papers. When a feeding means 3 is driven in this state, a lowest paper 14' is positively pulled out toward a transfer roller 15 by the fact that a frictional force between the lowest paper 14' and a bottom plate 1a is reduced. On this occasion, even if another paper is fed accompanying with the lowest paper 14', only the paper 14' is supplied after being separated from another paper by the action of a double feeding preventer 12.
