Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled composition having excellent adhesiveness by adding a curing agent based on peroxide to a graft copolymer of ethylene-propylene- nonconjugated diene terpolymer and a polymerizable monomer having polar gp.
CONSTITUTION: To 100pts.wt. of (a) an ethylene-propylene-nonconjugated diene terpolymer consisting of about 50 to 90mol% of ethylene, about 50 to 10mol% of propylene, and about 10mol% or less of a conjugated dinen, 1 to 100pts.wt. of (b) a polymerizable monomer having polar gp. such as acrylic acid, methyl methacrylate, and acrylamide is grafted to provide a copolymer. To this copolymer, about 1 to 30pts.wt. of (c) a peroxide-based curing agent such as cumene hydroperoxide and methyl isobuthl ketone peroxide and, as required, about 1 to 20pts.wt. of (d) a vulcanization accelerator such as Cu and Ni are added to provide the object composition.
